We are a body of related believers becoming more connected to the Lord and one another day by day – we welcome you to come and meet us and consider being a part of this family of believers!
You will notice when you are among us that we express our love to God. You may have some of these questions:
Why do we stand to sing?
"And the Levites ... stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel, with a very loud voice. " (2 Chronicles 20:19)
Why do we clap our hands and or shout?
"Oh clap your hands all peoples; shout to God with a voice of joy. (Psalm 47:1)
Why do we lift our hands?
"Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless the Lord." (Psalm 134:2)
Why do we sing choruses?
"And do not get drunk with wine; for that leads to ruin, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord." (Ephesians 5:18-19)
Why do we speak in tongues?
"They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit of God enabled them." (Acts 2:4)
Why do we have speaking in tongues with interpretation?
"If anyone speaks in a tongue, it shall be two or at the most three, and each in turn, and let one interpret." (1 Corinthians 14:27)
What is prophecy and why do we prophesy?
"But one who prophesies speaks to men for edification and exhortation and consolation." (1 Corinthians 14:3)
Why do we lay hands on people when praying for them?
"stir up the gift of God which is in you by the laying on of my hands" (2nd Timothy 1:6)
Why does the whole church pray at once for specific needs?
"And when they heard this, they lifted their voices to God together with one accord ... " (Acts 4:24a)
Why do we dance in church?
"Let them praise His name with dancing." (Psalm 149:3a) "Praise Him with timbrel and dancing". (Psalm 150"4a)
Why do we worship God by giving tithes and offerings?
"Here mortal men receive tithes, but there he receives them, of whom it is witnessed that he lives. (Hebrews 7:8)
"Bring all of the tithes and offerings into the storehouse." (Malachi 3:10)
Why are musical instruments a part of the worship service?
"Praise Him with trumpet sound; praise Him with harp and lyre. Praise Him with timbrel and dancing; praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe. Praise Him with loud cymbals; praise Him with resounding cymbals." (Psalm 150:3-5)
