Our Pastor

    Pastor Dennis and Cindy Shearer

Born in Queens, New York, Pastor Dennis has lived in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Florida and Virginia.  As the founder of Grace Covenant Ministries, Pastor Dennis has ministered in more than 500 churches and conducted missions trips to Cost Rica, Mexico, Honduras, and Nicaragua.  In addition he has ministered in Canada and England. 

Pastor Dennis has a network of churches that relate to his ministry and has conducted schools of ministry and leadership institutes with such leaders as Marilyn Hickey, T. L. Lowery, Jim Bakker, Richard Dortch, Roy Harthern, Anne Gimenez and other notable leaders in the body of Christ.  Pastor Dennis has a varied background in planting and pastoring two churches, leading a two year revival in Orchard Park, New York, establishing a Bible Training Center in Virginia Beach, serving as Extension Class Director for a Seminary and serving as consultant to a network of churches. 

Pastor Dennis and his wife Cindy love travel, photography, scrapbooking and visiting the National Parks in the United States. Cindy has served in four churches in the area of bookkeeping and administration along with serving as assistant to the Supervisor of the former Eastern Ohio District and as assistant to the Regional Supervisor of the Eastern United States of Foursquare Churches, during that tenure she served Supervisors and their assistants in oversight of more than 300 churches. 

Having ministered at the Dover Foursquare Church for more than 12 years, Pastor Dennis sensed a call from the Lord in July 2012 to come to Dover as Senior Pastor. Along with former Pastor, he strategically planned a transition that became effective in January 2013. 

Pastor Dennis has a vision for our church family consisting of several key components:

• A vibrant church body of believers reaching their potential in Christ with a vision for reaching families in our region.
• The equipping of leaders for the work of the ministry through training and mentoring.
• Reproducing ministry for the next generation.
