By definition, wisdom is the ability to judge soundly and deal prudently with facts. Wisdom is the successful use of knowledge.
There are three Greek words used in the New Testament which are translated "wisdom": SOPHIA, PHRONESIS and SUNESIS. These three types of wisdom deal the past, present and future. Sunesis would include the past, Phronesis deals with the present, and Sophia takes us into the future. Together they spell success in handling all of life.
You are probably going to need about 800 years to have a good 80 year life without regrets - but we don't have that long - we need the "wisdom of the ages" operating in our lives - The Lord Jesus Christ and His Word.
