The Meaning of Being A Disciple

The meaning of discipleship:
1. The word disciple means a learner.
2. A disciple is one who learns to follow and follows to learn.
3. The word "discipline" also comes from the same root word. Thus, a disciple is a "learner under discipline".
4. The followers of Jesus were never called "Christians" and in the New Testament Church the the "Disciples" were called Christians in Acts 11:26
