"The Good News or the gospel, is timeless. The impact that it had on the first century Jews or Gentiles is the same today. What has happened, however, is the steady separation of the the proclamation of the gospel from the demonstration of the gospel. Both are the gospel. Words without power will never withstand the test of time. Power apart from the Word will lack context and meaning. The church with it's well-meaning leaders began to feel safe with the gospel's words, but not its power."
