"And He said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts; for that which is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God." John 16:15
The renewal of our mind (Romans 12:1-3) and the processes of our thinking will bring us most assuredly into conflict with those whose thinking may be diametrically opposite of God. The values of a believer should be different than those of person that has not received Christ and had their thinking challenged by the Word of God.
