Honor God

Honoring God with our finances is so important to a life of stewardship.
According to 2 Corinthians 8:2 - in the trial of their affliction they gave financially - joy was the reason for and the result of giving. Paul says "the abundance" of their joy. God loves a cheerful giver, those that have discovered it is more blessed to give than to receive.
The tithe is not a debt we owe - it is a responsible reaction to the provision of God to get 10% of all that comes to us (gross) into the Lord's work so that we can enjoy His blessing on the 90% we keep to steward and live life.
