Growth in God is not about years lived, or time put in as a believer - growth in God is about our ability to HEAR and the RECEIVE truth. Reality is the instrument that The Lord uses (since Jesus is reality) to provoke us to repentance (change of mind) and move us to act upon the truth about ourselves. God confronts us with mercy and always with an eye to correcting us into the image of His Son. Sometimes we do not want to hear that we are controlling, fearful, negative, self centered or any other aspect of our personality that The Lord shows us. We have been conditioned to live with ourselves the way we are. I want to change!
