The Cross represents the death of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross carrying our sins with Him as the perfect sacrifice “having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself” (Colossians 1:20; see also Ephesians 2:16: Philippians 2:8; Colossians 2:13-15).
Red represents the precious shed Blood of Jesus that washes away our sins so we are able to stand before God clothed in robes of righteousness and declared redeemed and justified “being now justified by His Blood” (Romans 5:9). "Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins" (Hebrews 9:22; see also: Romans 3:25; Ephesians 1:7; 2:13; Colossians 1:14, 20; Hebrews 9:14; 10:19; 13:20; 1 Peter 1:18-19; 1 John 1:7; Revelation 1:5; 12:11).
